How to troubleshoot Galaxy S9 Plus with Spotify app that keeps crashing
I've been very unimpressed with the official Spotify app on my galaxy watch, it's been a real bummer. Have you had the same issues? Can't login with my facebook or regular spotify credentials, have to go to the spotify site, get a 'user ID' (a 10-digit number), make a new password, and use that to log in. In this video I will show you how to Install and Use Spotify on a Samsung Galaxy Watch. I am Stefano Rodriguez and I have autism. I live in The Netherlan. Yes, any phone works at least you got an Android version 4 and above and working speakers. The S4's latest update is Android 5.0 so you can install it. To know whether your device is compatible, just search for the app in the play store. If you can see the App, it's compatible, but if you can't, it's not. Just like on your phone, you can install, customize, and uninstall apps on your smart watch. Personalize your smart watch to fit your needs and preferences using the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone - for example, maybe you can't go for a run without listening to Spotify. There are also individual settings you can adjust when you manage apps on your smart watch. Are you tired of having to reach into your pocket, unlock your smartphone, and open the Spotify a.
This problem is a pretty minor issue with the app or the firmware. Most of the cases like this I encountered before were fixed by one of the methods I listed down below. So, try to do the procedures and see what works for you…
First solution: Reboot your phone
Restarting your phone should be the first thing you need to do when dealing with app-related issues such as crashes and force closes. It’s because these issues could be just a result of a minor firmware problem or glitches, which can be fixed by a simple restart. If a normal reboot doesn’t fix the problem, however, try doing the forced reboot by pressing and holding the volume down button and the power key together for 10 seconds or more. Your device will reboot normally and once it becomes active, try opening Spotify to see if the problem is fixed. If still not, then move on to the next procedure. How to download dvd to mac desktop.

Second solution: Reset the Spotify app
Doing this will bring the app back to its original settings or configuration. A reset in apps means to clear their caches and data. If this this problem is indeed just a minor app issue, then this procedure can fix it. Here’s how you do it:
- From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
- Tap Settings > Apps.
- Find and tap Spotify.
- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear cache.
- Tap Clear data and then tap OK.
- Reboot your phone.
If the problem continues after doing this, then the next solution has a higher probability of fixing it. Spotify keeps saying please go online to download.
Third solution: Remove Spotify from your phone and reinstall it
This will make sure that all its associations with other apps and services will be removed from your device. Your downloaded tracks will be deleted when you uninstall the app but don’t worry, you can download them all back when the problem gets fixed. After successfully uninstalling Spotify, download it from the Play Store and reinstall it on your phone to make sure you have the latest version. Here’s how you do these things;
- From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
- From a Home screen, navigate: Settings > Apps.
- Tap App Manager.
- Locate then tap Spotify.
- Tap UNINSTALL.
- Review the notification then tap OK to confirm.
- Reboot your phone to refresh it’s memory and other connections.
- From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
- Tap Play Store.
- Type ‘spotify’ in the search box.
- Select Spotify then tap Install.
- To continue, review the required app permissions then tap Accept.
The first three solutions should be enough to fix a minor problem like this. However, if by any chance the issue continues to bug you and you badly need to use the app, then a reset would be worth it.
Fourth solution: Find out if it’s a server problem
I encountered one instance wherein the Spotify on my phones don’t work. I tried to access the web player and I couldn’t so that explained the reason why the app didn’t work on my devices. I had to wait an hour or two to be able to use the service again.
I want you to do this as well. If you have other devices where you installed Spotify on, then try the app from there to know if it’s working properly because if not, you might be experiencing a problem due to a server issue. Usually, you don’t have to do anything as the problem will be fixed in a matter of minutes or hours depending on how serious the problem is. However, if the app in your other devices works properly, then the problem could be with your phone. Try doing the next procedure.
Fifth solution: Try wiping the cache partition
This will delete and replace all system caches in your phone. It’s possible that the app crashes due to some corrupt system cache. Don’t worry as none of your files and data will be deleted if you did this:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
- When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
- When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
- Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
- Press the Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘yes’ and press the Power key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.
If Spotify is still crashing after doing this and you badly need to fix it, then a reset should be done.
Sixth solution: Backup your files and data and then reset your phone
Uninstall spotify from mac. A master reset is more than enough to solve app-related issues but if the issue continues after the third solution, then you have no other choice. However, make sure you backup your files and data as they will be deleted during the reset and you may not be able to retrieve them after.
After the backup, disable the Factory Reset Protection by removing your Google account from your phone so that you won’t be locked out after the reset. After doing all this, then you’re ready to do the master reset:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
- When the green Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset’.
- Press Power button to select.
- Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes — delete all user data’ is highlighted.
- Press Power button to select and start the master reset.
- When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.
